May. 1st, 2010 09:20 pmMost of the cousins have been getting in touch with me because they can't get Auntie A. on her cell phone. Uncle is not well. *sighs* The reasons (which I am not telling them, btw) is because she either doesn't charge the phone properly or she can't reach it (she's pretty much chair-bound now, it's sad). So I have been giving them the number of the main desk, which will connect them. Eventually. Maybe this will force them to get a better phone set-up.
In other news, the Cubs game on WGN ran over-long, so they did *not* re-run the "LotS" ep that I was expecting. >:( Such things are *not* to be tolerated! So now I will watch a re-run of today's ep on another station at 10:30pm instead. It's not a bad ep, but believe me, last week was total WIN!
In other news, I continue writing.
Oh, and the weather is "fair." Meh.

Today's News
Apr. 19th, 2009 08:54 pmWell, actually this is about what happened yesterday. *Yesterday* I totally vegged out on tv. There was an LotR marathon on cable (12 hrs.) -- someday I must snag the extended versions and run all three back-to-back. :) Then it was time for local news/weather, followed by 'Legend of the Seeker' and "Grey Gardens' [Note to self: *Never* watch GG again, it's too f'n depressing and *way* too much like it was with mom at the end. 'Nuff said.] after which thanks to a sib, I re-watched "The Bunyip Video". C, you will be very happy to know that the nightmares that failed to materialize the night before from watching it showed up in full force. Mostly it involved a dragon's teeth scenario, only raptors spring up from drops of blood. Yeah. Right. Somehow I don't feel up to analyzing that one, I think it explains itself.
*Today* was spent recuperating from yesterday. I slept until... late and woke up with the tv still on and 'Matrix' just starting. ::eyeroll:: (I can almost like Elrond, and then Agent Smith reminds me of why the Perelda creeps me out so bad. Why oh why could his sons not have had more of a role? Why?) Then I managed to slam my fingers in the door, cutting them nicely. >:( My fingers are half band-aids now, and they freakin' *hurt*! I also went to see Auntie, since she was being fussy that I hadn't seen her lately. *sigh* Oh well, maybe she will be happy for awhile.
Oh yes, last but not least MS Office/Word is being weird. I had to finally uninstall it. More on that later though. Right now I need to try and sleep, if possible. Niters!

Today's News and Weather Report
Apr. 4th, 2009 10:03 pmIt's cold today. Damned cold. It was windy all day but not too bad until we had a thunderstorm about 4 pm. The wind is howling outside now, with gusts around 40 mph and (of course) lots of power outages around the area. Naturally, my migraines are back and I feel rotten. And cold, and just... meh. Oh even better news just now on the tv -- wind gusts up to *60* mph are now predicted. Lovely.
