It's kind of a moot point now since I don't have kids and never will but if I had, I would have read them Shakespeare, Milton -- all of the classics, the same ones my mom read to me.

What is your favorite foreign film? Do you think there should be an American remake?

This is a really hard question because I like (ok, ok -- *love*) so many foreign films, and there are so many good ones out there, just waiting to be discovered. :)
That being said, my choice would be: "Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!" (Atame!). I've seen it several times (and even used to have it on vhs, too) and I've often thought that all that would need to be done is to change the Spanish to English, recast with some *quality* US/UK actors/actresses -- though I would *adore* to see Antonio Banderas re-appear in it, yes yes yes -- and film it in a large US city (not LA because of the cars but anywhere else should work) probably NYC or SF... but yeah, I think if the right person/company were involved, it would be a very good, even *great* film.
As for who I would cast in what role -- I leave that to your imagination. ;)

If you fall in love with a book or movie, do you tend to watch/read it again and again? If so, what's your upper limit on repeats?
My answer is: I have no limit as to how many times I can "repeat" something. I've probably seen "Casablanca" over 1000 times, and "The Wizard of Oz" over 1000 as well. In fact, I can recite the dialog (and sing the songs) right along with the movie. I know this to be true since one time I fell asleep at a friend's house when "Wizard" came on and I began doing the whole reciting/singing thing, pausing only during commercials. (I guess I should be thankful that there was no camcorder handy or I would be famous on U200b by now, lol.) I will probably never live that down...
As for movies made after 1999, I suppose I watch them 2/3x a year, though during the theatrical/dvd/ppv release period (or their first year) I'd probably watch them almost non-stop.
Books are an entirely different matter. I usually re-read something *completely* every few years; otherwise I will re-read favorite passages off and on throughout the year. And a really *loved* book will have multiple copies -- one to keep "for good", a extra copy and an everyday reading copy that I can shove in my purse to read when I'm not home.

--Unfriended? I don't think so. But I guess if I've lost touch with them to that extent, then well... life is like that sometimes. :(
As for myself, I think I've only unfriended a few who had strike-throughs (sic), and even then, not very many.
I do like to know if someone is leaving or changing names because I like to stay in touch with people as much as is possible. I'll usually friend people back unless they have a really new journal and no public posts and very minimal or non-existent bio.
Btw, if you happen to notice that I haven't friended someone back and you know them (or if you happen to be them under a different sn), please let me know ok? Just say, "Doof! Don't you recognize [username]?" At which point I will probably say something brilliant like: "Erm, oopsies? :( " and friend them. Though (and here I am just guessing) since over 95% of my posts are public anyway, if you're not friended then you probably don't miss that much.
And in other news, the quasi-cold continues. Meh.
