Ok, most of you probably know me as samtyr from over at elJ. I tried to use the same name here but when I was first setting this up, one of my cats unplugged my computer. And since I was a beginner w/o anyone to ask for help, I had to alter my name a little. My default icon (whom I call zen cat) has remained the same though. ZC is my first icon and I strongly doubt I will ever get rid of her.
I'll probably add more to this later on.

Mar. 20th, 2025 08:14 pmSo, Tuesday night, we were hit by a major blizzard. For the last few years, in addition to the 24-25 winter, most of the bad weather has seemed to go around us. While other towns and counties in NE were hit fairly bad, we mostly just got brushed with it or minor snow.

Super Bowl LIX Sunday
Feb. 9th, 2025 08:08 pmYes, I am still here. I have been busy with serious house cleaning and I have been dumping a lot of stuff in the dumpster. I have donating a lot of clothing that doesn't fit (or fits poorly) to various local charities as well.
I am not watching SB. I have minimal interest in the NFL; I once asked who Patrick Mahomes was and I got Looked At, as if people couldn't believe anyone could be so dumb and still be allowed to walk around unsupervised, lol. (Mr. Mahomes is a Very Famous NFL quarterback btw.) If I do watch football, it is only the local high school team. It means something to them, for people to watch them play. The NFL? Not nearly as much.
The weather has been weird. Cold temps with very little snow. Ugh. It is very dry here; we need moisture. But the severe weather seems to be mostly south and east of us.
Health wise, I am ok. Dr. is very happy with results, so there is that.
Of special note: While going through a bunch of "stuff", I found some old unused greeting cards. But best of all, I found some old photo negatives of my oldest cousins (who have since passed on.) Now I just have to find some place that still develops photos from actual film negatives... hmmm...

Glitch in The Matrix

Last night I was in a chat and the conversation turned to recent tv shows, notably "Breaking Bad" and the various restaurants that were featured. To make this short, was Gus Fring's restaurant called Dos Pollos Hermanos or Los Pollos Hermanos? I remember it as 'Dos' but everyone else (and a variety of memorabilia on eBay/Amazon) show it as 'Los'.
Suggestions, anyone?
