Today's News and Weather Report

It's hot. And sticky. Ugh. I definitely need to get the a/c hooked up, like now. But instead, maybe tomorrow?

Unexpected errand run today (legal-related.) *sigh*

A few weeks ago I got a cheap plastic birdbath because I thought it would be nice to get a good one in the fall, when they go on sale. But because I didn't know exactly *where* I wanted it in the first place, I decided a plastic one would be best so I could move it around and see what looked best.

Instead, I learned from the neighbors that the birdbath is being used a bathing pool by teh outdoor kittehs -- they take turns loafing in the water. (And here I was thinking that the water was evaporating in the heat; turns out I was partly right.) I have yet to catch them doing it, though I have noticed they have been really really *wet*. Maybe I can manage to get a snapshot, or one of the neighbors have one. Because honestly, once they hear the door rattle, they crowd around it (the door) from all over!

Ok, time to try and sleep in front of the fan I guess.

Really? How odd. It's been wicked hot here, though they are now saying that the next few days (until next week maybe?) will be rainy. *sigh* I wish that Mel was here to fix the weather.
