Well, I am feeling better but I am very tired. It's good to know that I have the rotted tooth gone; now maybe I will start healing in a lot of ways.

About yesterday's dentist visit...

Summer picked me up at home; other than that, I remember very little. Which is actually a good thing, you know. I remember being in the waiting room and a few minutes later, sitting down in the chair. I also remember getting the nitrous oxide as well, and then... nothing. Except for a tiny nip when I got the Novocaine too. But other than that, Nothing. Zero, zip, nada -- which is just the way I like a dentist visit.

Once it was over..

Apparently I was helped down the hallway and the steps, as I was still rather boneless. I got an Rx from the dentist for some pain meds, and then Summer took me over to her house so she could keep an eye on me (for which I am very thankful, btw.) I slept most of the afternoon on her couch; though I have vague memories of one of her kids whispering "are you sure she's just asleep?" Apparently I didn't even hear them when they crashed through the door, lol.

I did wake up long enough to eat a bit (mashed potatoes and gravy, yummy) and then she brought me home -- by which time I was mostly awake. I took care of the furkids, checked email and went to bed.

But I am feeling a lot better this morning (though I did take another painkiller when I woke up.) I could have maybe not taken it but I fell asleep and kept rolling on the side of the extraction, so it must be more or less ok or I wouldn't be able to lay on that side at all but better to stay on top of it, you know.

Back later on, I suppose.

Aww, poor Sam. Still, you didn't feel anything, which is good, and yes, now you can start to heal. A bad tooth can really run you down! (((HUGS)))

Yes, not being able to feel certain things at certain times is a definite plus.

I am glad it was not too stressful for you. Now you can start healing and I hope you feel a lot better soon.

I would have taken the painkiller as well - just in case the pain got worse. Hit it before it starts :D

Hugs Binky x

I am sure I will feel better now that the tooth is out. And I am definitely appreciating the painkillers as well.

I'm glad you have that over and done with - not remembering any of it is probably the best outcome possible. *hugs*

And I've once read that it's better to take painkillers before the real pain starts, because once you actually feel the pain you need more painkillers to make it go away.

Oh yes, I am all for not stressing (or remembering) much about dentist visits -- especially major extractions.

I am very glad to have strong painkillers; they are a blessing at these times.

I prefer my dentist visits to involve either just a cleaning, or oblivion :)
