It was an easy 90+ and it was getting close to 100 by 5pm. Needless to say, I stayed inside. No point in trying to work outside. Tomorrow we might have showers, then again, maybe not. Tried my new cell phone to call Aunt Arlene; it works fine. I'm gonna really baby this one. It's not bad but I still prefer my old one. Just because, is why. But this one is good too. Since my jinx seems to be in force, I'm not even going to bother watching the Conference Finals. I just don't have the heart. Plus the Preakness is tomorrow; I'm not even going to touch that one. Though I was right when I said the Derby would be an upset.
Other news: the kittens seem to be fine. Mulanne is chowing down like crazy on everything she can annd guzzling milk like a sailor, the babies aren't going to wear her down *too* badly. I give her many skitches and head rubs--she is content. She continues to limp badly, barely touching the leg to the ground. Anytime a healthy cat doesn't jump a 4 ft. chain link fence, they are hurt. I have to open the gate for her and she strolls out, wanders around the yard a bit and then comes back in. Heh. She has me well-trained. So do all of the other furkids, for that matter. Hmmmm, late enough to go to sleep I guess. Niters.
