May. 5th, 2006 10:23 pmI've decided to share this passage from a letter (yes, letter! a real paper letter, not email) I received today, dated April 29th.
"Oh, I love this. The LA Times did a deal with the studio to promo "MI:3" by rigging their street boxes this weekend so that whenever anybody opened them to get their paper out, the "MI" theme song would play. Okay, annoying but novel. However, turns out people have been seeing these little things with wires attached to the paper boxes, and have been swamping authorities with bomb calls. Supposed to go until the opening, but it's such a fiasco after less than 24 hrs., that's now questionable. Somebody in Marketing is *so* about to be fired..."
