Conspiracy? Hell Yes!!
Apr. 26th, 2006 08:20 amI think we know what's going on here. Bettman kept the owners in line by assuring them that the Cup would return to Canada. So, you know what that means. Bye-bye Detroit--and all the other US teams. I honestly believe (now) the Western Conference Finals will be Edmonton-Calgary. which means the Eastern Conference Finals will be Ottawa/Montreal- ??? . I hate this. I f'n hate it! The ideal scenario for me would have been a Detroit-Colorado match, for the very simple reason of economics--Colorado is the cheapest place for me to get to, plus I have a free place to stay overnight (my cousin's house). More than anything, I wanted to see Stevie Y. play one last time. But since the only way to do that is to manage a trip to Detroit this coming Saturday... :::grieves::: I can't do it--I just don't have the money, plain and simple. I could *probably* manage a ticket but there is just no way I can scrounge a way to travel there. I'd have to fly to even *think* about making it on time and the plane tix are just too damn high when it's such short notice. Not to mention actually *getting* to an airport. I really hope next time around I choose a family that doesn't live in the middle of fucking nowhere. As long as they live some place that has an airport (and a hockey team), I'll be happy. Well, the morning rant is over, I'm off to lick my wounds and sulk.
