Yay! Baby Kittens! :)
Apr. 22nd, 2006 11:48 amYes, Mulanne had her babies last night. Unfortunately, she had 'em behind the deep freeze (marvels at feline anatomy) -- *how* she managed to do that, I will never know. I mean, she was freakin' huge! It looked like she had swallowed a tennis ball! I was begining to worry and think I was going to have to take her to the vet for a C-section. It sounds like there are 3 or 4, and I know I heard two last night. LeeAnn is firmly convinced that she hears baby mice, not kittens at all. She stands right in front of the door (that leads to the porch where the freezer is) and keeps turning her head back and forth and sniffing like crazy. But no need to worry, there is no way she can reach them. LeeAnn may be only a 5 lb. Pom-pom, but she can't squeeze herself *that* small. LOL! The funny thing is, she is a superb mouser, much better than my cat Lucky (who thinks mice are animated toys to play with). I guess it makes sense that I would have a dog for a mouser rather than a cat since I am convinced my life belongs in the Theatre of the Absurd.
