About Today

It was icky hot, so I stayed inside and went through stuff. Yay for a/c! I started to clean the refrigerator and tomorrow I will do more reorganizing in there. For today, I focussed on ditching the more "unknown" items. ::looks innocent::

I also discovered that I need to get (a) a new crock pot and (b) see if I can find someone to fix the burner on the stove. The plug-in just fell apart (of course, the stove itself is only... over fifteen years old? at the least?) I really can't afford a new one right now, so hopefully I can have this limp along for a little bit longer. Besides, I have three working burners, an oven and a microwave which is really more than enough when it's just me and the furkids.

Tomorrow is August -- where has the time gone? And I think we might have an early fall too.

Ok, enough for now. Time to sleep. Niters all!

i fel you. my stove is a piece of shit and my landlords haven't done a thing about it.

One time when I moved into a house with NO appliances, my friend and I were able to buy a reconditioned elec stove for around $100. However, if I remember correctly, the actual oven thermostat was wonky so we had to put a thermometer inside to see the actual temp. I think it ran about 20 deg hotter than the settings. Really tho, if 3 of the burners plus the oven still work fine on yours then I'd call it good :)

Oh yeah, I can manage awhile longer with this. But I think I will definitely have to look for a replacement before too long, unless I can find someone to refurbish it...
