Movie Meme
Jul. 1st, 2010 08:17 pmI got this one from
crazies:
Comment and say "I wanna play" and I'll give you ten actors and ten actresses. Then post in your livejournal with your favorite films of theirs.
Actresses:
1. Julia Roberts: Mona Lisa Smile (I've heard too many people gush over 'Pretty Woman' to ever list that one.)
2. Jennifer Aniston: The Good Girl (I never watched 'Friends', and this is the only movie I remember seeing her in.)
3. Meryl Streep: Out of Africa (So many choices! So I decided on this one because I love turning off the sound and watching the African scenery.)
4. Jodie Foster: Taxi Driver (Probably her best role ever.)
5. Kirstie Alley: Star Trek II -- The Wrath of Khan (I actually saw this one in the theatre, back in the day. I feel so old now.)
6. Liv Tyler: LotR trilogy (Despite the fact that PJ totally usurped Glorfindel's role so that they could introduce the 'love story' aspect early on, and despite the fact that Arwen is totally wrong for Aragorn -- he should have married Éowyn instead -- she's ok even though she should have sailed with daddy Elrond. But why, why did they dress the elves in discarded curtains?)
7. Claire Danes: The Hours (Again, probably her best role.)
8. Diane Lane: The Outsiders (I love this movie.)
9. Kate Winslet: Titanic (She was ok but not great. It's mostly because that movie lasted *forever* and she was onscreen for most of it.)
10. Michelle Williams: Brokeback Mountain (She was great as Alma. I truly dislike her though.)
Actors:
1. Ben Affleck: Shakespeare In Love (I have never liked him -- no idea why. And it seems like this is the only movie I can stand him in.)
2. Bruce Willis: Pulp Fiction (He was amazing as Butch in this.)
3. Billy Bob Thorton: Monster's Ball (I only liked the actor who played his son in this movie.)
4. James Dean: Rebel Without A Cause (Classic.)
5. Rock Hudson: Giant (Rule 34 -- see #4 above.)
6. Brad Pitt: Interview With The Vampire
7. Heath Ledger: Brokeback Mountain/The Dark Knight [tie] (You should know why by now.)
8. Mickey Rourke: The Wrestler (I think he should have gotten the Oscar for this.)
9. Robert de Niro: Taxi Driver ("You talkin' to me?")
10. Al Pacino: Donnie Brasco (Again, it was so hard to choose! But Johhny Depp as costar decided it.)
