Lol, yes. Unfortunately I saw the Matrix on DVD about a week before FOTR, and just no.
I like Ebe Kasteins picture of Elrond, so I look at it if I have to write him, but I still can't get agent Smith out of my head.
I suppose it's better than Mitzi in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, as Pandë thought, ROFL.

Haleth (remember her?)

Haleth is an amazing character, yet there's not much fic about her.

I think I would have found Mitzi much easier to write. O:) As it is, I tend to write evil or dark(at best) Elrond. [Which is so different from the books...]

I might write Haleth one day. She should have more fic than she does.

Glorfindel and Legolas are so-in-love. [Even if Glorfindel doesn't always realize it. ;)]

Have you read Aislynn Crowdaughter's Mael Gûl? O_O I told her I wanted to skin Elrond alive or impale him on a spear; I wanted to do extremely violent things to him anyway.
The strange thing is that a Dark! Elrond is often very well written, while canon-Elrond comes across as quite bland. I don't read Elrond-centric fics (Angent Smith, nonono - I can't put him in a sexual situation, LOL)

Glorfindel and Legolas are so-in-love.

They are made for each other, it just took Glorfindel some time to realize what he was feeling was love.

Mael Gûl is a brilliant piece of work; despite it being one of the darkest I've ever read, the AU is so solid and plausible and thought out that I can't complain. I hope that it is finished one day because I really want to see if things come full circle (or even if they don't.) Her Elrond is one of the most genuinely evil that I've read, and about the only Imladrian that has any of the "finer feelings" left is, interestingly, Glorfindel.

I agree: Mael Gûl should be skinned alive, or something. The only thing that gives me pause is that he might be the only one who knows how to fully release the spell.

I'm not sure why Dark!Elrond is usually well-written while canon-Elrond is so bland. It would be interesting to find earlier fanfics (that were written prior to the movies) and see if the pattern is the same.

Glorfindel and Legolas are dear loves and they are made for each other. I adore reading them. :)

I've never seen this pairing, but I agree I don't think it would work out well. I cannot help but think of Celebrimbor as anything other then as J-dav wrote him, now. Maeglin has always been one of my favorite characters, one I've never found written to my satisfaction, but Celeb/Maeglin -No.

I'm sure that there are some fics with this pairing out there (Rule 34, you know) but I can't see it as anything but tragic. :(
