How I Feel Today

Yesterday the cable went out before I could post; otoh, since I was snowed in and taking my cold meds (in other words, sleeping) there wasn't much to say in the first place. Shockey stopped yesterday and brought me some NyQuil, which was very kind of him. I was sure I had cold meds already over here but nope. Or they've been misplaced if they are. *Anyway* I couldn't find them, so I felt miserable. He stopped again this morning to check on me again and see if I needed anything, though he doesn't have the loader so he could dig me out. The road crews have been by here and I have a massive snow ridge, like about 3-4 ft. high. No way I can bust through that w/the Omni, so I called Sonja to have Robb come and dig me out when he has a chance. Otherwise, I just mostly lazed around. I've been sitting up so I can cough some of the gunk out of my lungs; I've still got a nasty cough. I'm going to make sure Shockey has a key to the house, as soon as I can get someplace to have a key cut. I just realised that if I fell, no-one could get in w/o breaking down the door. (The last two days I've braced the porch door shut w/a tool chest--you get in by pushing hard.) I got an e-mail from Paul B. and my cousin Dale called yesterday. Luckily he went to IM 'cause I was having a real headache w/my phone. So we chatted a bit and I think from now on he will probably IM me. Sure hope so, 'cause it's much easier (it also saves me phone minutes.) Oh yeah, Shockey told me that the back wall of Carl's caved in, which wasn't really a surprise. No clue what I'll do now, but I called the insurance people (which will probably *not* pay) and I'll have to wait until it get warm before I can do anything, though HSockey said he will put up an orange safety fence as soon as he can. Well, time for me to get to sleep. Niters, everyone!
