Today's News -- Update

The XP is back -- kind of, anyway. Unfortunately, the keyboard refuses to hook up properly which means I am still at square one. So, I am once more dealing w/the hoor that is Vista. I know, I fail bigtime. Will attempt to deal again tomorrow, or not.

So, is it a regular keyboard connection? Or do you have a USB keyboard? If it's regular, do you have a converter plug to go in a USB port? Or vice versa? What I'm getting at is can you plug in the keyboard a different way and see if it works?

Just a standard connection that should be easy as anything. But after an hour of trying to make it connect properly, I gave up. It should have taken me less than five minutes, max. Luckily, the mouse has an USB connection but not the keyboard. *sighs* I just feel so incredibly lame.

So, I will take it back on Wednesday, *he* can plug it in and I will duct tape over it, just to be sure it stays put while I haul it back here.
