Today's News and Weather Report
Jan. 11th, 2010 01:31 pmIt's actually *nice* out today! We are having a heat wave of almost 32-F (or 0-C); if this keeps up, I will be looking for my bikini. Not! XD
I am also going to go and pick up the mail, which I haven't done in nearly a week. So I might have unexpected cards and letters waiting for me.
Other misc. news including a mini-rant. Ok, make that a bitchy rant:
One of the elder cousins on my mom's side died Saturday. She was 93 and iffy health, so yes I'm rather sad about it but not really broken up since it's one of those things that is expected. The funeral will be on Wednesday, and I'll probably go to it. *sigh*
Lastly, one of my childhood landmarks was burned down yesterday. It wasn't a bad house: it was structurally sound, the roof was good, totally new foundation with a huge full basement -- it could be considered a 4 story house and all it needed was serious cleaning and a lot of tlc. But no. The "new" people who bought (aka "stole") it are fucking scum, utterly worthless trash and just... I'm sorry, but I really truly hope they DIAFF, and soon (the sooner the better) and horribly and painfully at that. (They wish the same for me, I know this.) I try not to hate people, I really do try -- but this lot seems to breathe a little finer air than the rest of us, and their shit doesn't stink either. I'm going to have a fucking hard time driving past there from now on. Nothing but hard bitter memories for me here now, and yet I am financially unable to move, so since I can't fix it, I gotta stand it.
Fuck.
