My answers to those questions under the cut:
1) What is the first fanfic story you ever wrote?
It was back in my XFiles days, probably a more genfic than slash. Sadly, I don't really remember the name of it (it's probably languishing on my oldest hd) though I can probably find a couple of fics that are fairly typical of that time.
2) Has your taste in fanfic changed since you discovered it, or remained the same?
My taste has stayed much the same, though I am drawn to darker fics now. And I have never actually *left* a fandom -- it's more that I have expanded and now I am very inactive in some of my older ones. I try to stay in touch with everyone though.
3) Do you like challenges?
Yes, I do. I seldom participate since I don't feel it's fair to sign up and then not follow through. A deadline is like a jinx for me, which is why I usually avoid signing up for one. But if I feel that I have a strong enough idea that I can build on (and RL is not too insane), then I will.
4) Do you have a favorite pairing/genre/theme?
I *much* prefer slash and NC-17, though I will happily read a more gen fic if it is well-done.
5) Do you have a favorite among your furkids, or do you love them all alike?
No, I can't say that I have a favorite. Each has their own special personality, and while in some ways my little dog is easiest since I can take her on rides and things, my kitties are just as special and loving. Even though none of them are exceptionally cuddly.

LOL! I think kitties own you not the other way around and they are very spare with their affections, their thought process must be like "I rub against you when it is convenient for me, but I love you. I just want you to need me and want me."
