Today I took LeeAnn in to see the vet. When I picked her up for a cuddle Wednesday night, I thought she felt a bit ribby. So I decided I had better take her in and have her looked at to be sure, since we are officially in the last week before Christmas. I figured if she wasn't well, it was better to get things started now. And she did turn out to be ok, I'd at least have a current baseline.

SHE'S FINE!! YAY!! :) :) :)

Yes, I was just worrying because her weight is fine -- 7.5 lbs, normal temp and heart/lungs sounds good, etc. etc. ::whew:: I have to admit, I probably worry too much. But with possible bad weather on the way next week -- just in time for Christmas weekend of course (and it's a four-day weekend, too) it's much better to play it safe.

And in other news...

I didn't see "Avatar" at the midnight matinee (because of weather constraints only), so I am going to try and see it this weekend. Maybe a couple other movies as well; we'll have to see. Let's hope the weather holds, as I really should try and see Auntie and Uncle before Christmas.

So glad your furkid is OK. I know what it's like to be worried something is wrong and I end up being right! So I'm glad YOU were wrong in this case.

It's supposed to be in the 30s here tomorrow so I'm venturing out to see Avatar in 3D!

I'm very relieved -- I tend to be a worrier anyway. But now I can relax over the holidays.

Chiquita sends many, many kisses to your furbabies, and she also tells me to tell you that she is very happy that the lady LeeAnn is doing well.

Chiquita goes on hunger strike when she is sick of her dog food and wants humann food. She forgets that she is a dog and not a human. Maybe LeeAnn was on hunger strike as well?

Chiquita has her Mexican states confused, she thinks that instead of Chihuahua she comes from Chiapas, thus her revolutionary ways.

LeeAnn forgets that she cannot be outside very long in extreme cold weather. She has a nice thick, long coat but she is still too little to handle such extreme cold -- don't tell her I said that though. She thinks she is really a big sled dog. ;)

I'm glad that LeeAnn is okay :) As you said, it was better to play it safe.

I will be seeing Avatar tonight, though it's going to be fun trying to find a carpark at the shopping centre where the cinema is - the shops are open until midnight :/
