Hm...it's remarkable how many of those are either Classics (note the capital C) or were "written for children."

I think one of the predominate themes running through them however is that each one encourages you to look at the world in a different way, to perhaps, in fact...Think.

People who want others to think only like they do, feel threatened by them...as they should. I've only read maybe half...and I Think.

Lloyd Alexander, Zipha Snyder, Madeleine L'Engle...favorites of mine as I was growing up. Thank you for reminding me of them!

I read most of these books at one time or another. I never knew I was reading a banned book -- I always thought I was reading a *good* book.
