Today's News and Weather Report

I had to go to Hastings and stock up on cat food since it was on sale for 1/2 price (generic, so I can keep the outdoor creatures from starving.) Next on the list will be buying more cedar shavings for litter use. The indoor kitties eat less (there's only two anyway) and they have plenty, so I will get them a second sack of food a little later on.

The first frost is on its way, and *damn* that is not good news. The first frost should be in mid-to-late October, and it's still September! [The temperature is a good 10-15 degrees (F) lower than it should be, and it was never really warm this summer either.] ::shivers:: I am already feeling chilled, oh yay. I am getting things winterized just in time -- barely.

I have help coming early tomorrow so I am logging off so I can be rested and not half-asleep all morning. Niters all!

my cats used t get tiny amounts of food and I always got yelled at, but it was what was recommended on the packet! people over feed their animals.

I don't feed that much but I need to be ready for bad weather (and it was a "buy 3 get 1 free" deal of the *big* sacks.)

It will get a little warmer some days but we are a lot closer to wiwnter than fall. Brrrrr!
