Weirdness to the 12th power

la_samtyrRULES: Each player of this game starts off with 12 weird things/habits about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 12 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. (At the end you need to choose 4 people to be tagged. Since a lot of people have already been tagged or posted this already, I'm not tagging anyone.)
1. I taught myself how to speed-read at age 3 or so. *How* I did this I don't know, but I did. I've been reading ever since.
2. I am math-dsylexic. Numbers confuse the hell out of me and it's a constant source of frustration. I can manage the basics but that's about it.
3. When I was ten, my grandfather taught me how to drive a pony in single harness. My dad made the cart for me and one of my great-uncles reworked the harness to fit properly.
4. I love cats and they know it. You can tell if I'm home if there are cats sitting by the doorstep; if I'm gone, there are cats locked on the porch.
5. I am a firm believer in reincarnation.
6. I love to travel even though I don't really get any chance. But I keep my passport current (and handy!) just in case.
7. I don't know what my ethnic background is, though it seems to be (North) European. My ancestors did a pretty thorough job of reinventing themselves when they came to America.
8. I don't know much about computers, just enough to have fun online.
9. I hate having my picture taken and I cut myself out of a lot of the ones that are in photo albums.
10. The only game I play on my computer is solitaire. I had some others but I don't have the time or interest in learning enough about them to be any good, so I uninstalled them.
11. I love music but I don't listen to much anymore.
12. I know I have good taste because most of the stuff I ever collected or really *liked* ended up being stolen. So my house is decorated and furnished in thrift store specials.
