Hmmmm, this one might be kinda tough. Hold on!
1.) Food -- Yeah, I love it. There is very little food that I don't like. *ahem*
2.) Furkids -- they are my reason to get up in the morning. Of course, if I don't get up to feed 'em, I might be next on the list so... ;)
3.) France -- I always wanted to travel there, just because. *sigh*
4.) Finland -- Another country I always wanted to visit. [Interestingly, I have several online sibs who are from Finland.]
5.) Film noir -- I love all movies but there is something about film noir that really draws me in. I can probably recite most of the classics by heart.
6.) Family -- I have very ambivalent relationships with most of my family, and that's all I have to say about that.
7.) Friesian -- a specific horse breed, usually black in color, often used in dressage and one which is well-loved by the film industry because they photograph so well and dramatically. One of the first film appearances by a Friesian was in "Ladyhawke". Granted, their appearance in certain films may be of debatable historical accuracy but since when does Hollywood trouble itself about a little thing like that?
8.) 'Flying Cloud' -- one of the most famous of the clipper ships. Built in 1851, she set a record from NYC to SF that stood for 136 *years*. What is even more unusual is that her navigator was a woman, Eleanor Creesy. [Eleanor, btw, was married to the ship's captain.] If I ever won the lottery, I would be doing everything possible to turn this into a film.
9.) 'Finnegan's Wake' -- the "last" novel I had to read in order to get my bachelor's degree. No idea why I did it, since you don't need a degree to be a layabout.
