Name your 10 absolutely favourite fandom ships (try to pick different fandoms). Ask people to see what trends and similarities they notice about your ships. Most of them are self-explanatory.
***10 pairings I like:
1. Ennis/Jack
2. Joker/Batman
3. Ned Kelly/Joe Byrne
4. Dan/Casper -- There has to be a story there, I just know it.
5. Patrick/Cameron -- But of course!
6. Elf/Elf -- If I were to list all the pairings, this would go on for *much* longer than just ten! More like a hundred, or even a thousand! So I'll let you name the pair, and I'll tell you what I think -- ok? ;)
7. Turner/Chas -- ("Performance") I've never found this pairing yet but I keep hoping. And *if* I ever get some of my other projects done, I might write it myself. But don't hold your breath.
8. Mulder/Krycek -- ("The X-Files") The first pairing I fell in love with when I got online.
9. Stevie/Shanny -- (NHL) if Bad Things happen now, you'll know why.
10. Crossovers. I'm pretty picky but when they are done *right*, they can totally rock.
***10 pairings that drive me crazy:
1. J2, aka Dean/Sam -- It's nothing personal, honest! It's just that I am a jinx. Why do you think it hasn't jumped the shark yet? Because I'm staying away from it, that's why.
2. "Twi-Lite" -- I loathe and despise this. Weirdly, it's normally one of the genres I adore but I *cannot* stand it! I feel the books writing/editing is substandard at best and there is no freakin' way I am going to read that drek. Especially when there are 'other writers' who go begging and genuinely *deserve* to be published.
3. Yaoi/Manga -- This isn't really a dislike as much as it is unfamiliarity with the genre(s).
4. Furry -- Sometimes, but not very often. And it has to be Original fiction.
5. Het -- I just don't care much for het. That being said, one of the best bits I've ever written was het. So go figure.
6. 'Titanic' -- The movie was only a million hours long. Do you really expect me to read fic as well? No way.
7. 'Harry Potter' -- Only if I am familiar with the writer. I never got into HP (probably because I was busy w/other RL things at the time) but I can appreciate it.
8. 'Star Wars' -- Again, this is one of those weird glitches. This is one of my favorite movies and genres, yet -- I don't know. It just leaves me cold. Maybe if I had found it much earlier, when I was just *dying* to find anything, anything at all... But I didn't and now I have no interest.
9. Comics -- Since most of my collection was stolen some years ago, I lost a lot of interest in this area. I will read some things by certain authors though.
10. Games -- I was never into games, period. And since I really have nothing to bring me in, I don't usually bother with it. I will read some things but it has to be recommended by someone I know.
