1) A form like Mortal Sin

The full quote is from 'The Lion In Winter': "He had a mind like Aristotle and a form like mortal sin." I do so love the early kings and queens -- they were the first soap operas; so many wonderful ideas that come from reading about them. (Though I'm sure the local peasants of the time were much more interested in where and if they were getting their next meal and if their shelter would hold up in bad weather but that's a bit beside the point.) The pic of Jake is one of my favorites of him, and the two just seemed to go together.
2) Distorted Heart

The Joker. Mildly spoiler-ish for 'The Dark Knight' but at the same time, it should be self-explanatory (well, more or less.)
3) Dark Jakeg

This makes me think of "Donnie Darko". (It may well be from DD but I won't swear to it, only that it's evocative of it). I really *really* hope that Jake starts getting 'better' roles because his early work was just great. Almost everything since 'Brokeback' has been... less than what it should have been, to be nice about it.
4) Patrick

Heath. Such a dear love. I was fortunate enough to see "10 Things I Hate About You" (where this icon is from) during it's first run in the theatres and Heath as Patrick Verona just wowed me. I was looking forward to so many more years of seeing him -- I never would have guessed it would be less than ten years... ::weeps::
5) Road

I'm pretty sure this is a screencap from "Brokeback Mountain" but I've lost track of exactly when/where/how I found it. But if it isn't, it should be. This looks a lot like where I live, too. Not 100% (no mountains) but definitely very close.

Date: 2008-10-24 04:39 pm (UTC)I didn't even remember that quote from the Lion in Winter, is that the old one? I only saw that version and a long time ago. Super quote!
I have to agree with you, the early Medieval period was twisted, spectacular and bloody. I just finished watching the Tudors, but while I enjoyed it, I would have preferred the Wars of the Roses, or the 12th - 15th century.
