Stormy Weather
May. 22nd, 2008 09:49 pmUnsurprisingly, we have a line of storms heading this way. Looks nasty, though since it *appears* to only now be reaching the Kearney area, I figure that means we have until midnight before it shows up here. How bad? Hard to say. The wind has picked up good and it's just sort-of... borderline. It is set hit us "straight on" unless it veers off to go around us at the last minute and right now that doesn't look very probable. But it might since it keeps veering off to the north/north-east...
I'm funny about storms since I use the furkids reactions as a guide to how bad it is. The furkids don't have faces as much as they have highly developed radar screens disguised as faces, you know. That sounds kinda weird and mean but I'm too tired and spaced to try and rewrite it properly, so my apologies in advance. I'm used to dealing with these storms, or as much as anyone can be; after awhile you just develop a "feel" for them, as unscientific as that sounds.

Shame we have lost so much intuitive sense, I understand what you mean about developing a 'feel' for them.
