Last Update Until Saturday

I have decided to go to Omaha early, meaning I will leave tomorrow after lunch. I kind of hate to do it but I'm afraid I'll have too much trouble getting there on time Friday morning if I don't. There aren't any good movies playing there either, which kind of sucks. I'll be staying in a hotel because my aunt is staying w/one of the grandkids and not at her house. It will be a lot easier than me bunking w/one of my cousins since their houses are probably full with their own families. (My Aunt Lee is the only one who had a lot of kids and grandkids that stayed in the area. Everyone else is in CA, IL or "down South", usually NC, GA or FL.) I hate leaving the furkids on their own overnight but it really can't be helped. Otherwise I'll be driving down and back and that's too much of a turnaround when I'm alone.

For some unknown reason I have started a new fic. I seriously doubt that this will ever see the light of day because it's just... weird, even for me. I really don't know where this one is coming from. Well I do in a way, but even so I can only assume that I am somehow releasing some of the pain and/or exorcising some of the demons that have plagued me recently. Maybe I'll feel better once it's done? I have no idea.Or maybe I'm just plain crazy. Yeah, the last is probably right.

Time for me to go and sleep. I have a lot to do tomorrow and not a lot of time to do it in. Niters all! See you Saturday!

Many hotels now have free internet, be it wireless or cable. So take along a laptop with all the cords and be online Friday night instead of going to a sub-par movie.

If you haven't booked a hotel yet, let me know and I can help you find a decent one that's not too pricey. Hey, it's my job! ;)

Hi! Sorry I missed your reply -- I could have used some help. Did you know that most places will not take cash, only plastic? Well you probably do but I sure didn't. Cash has always worked fine before y'know. But now? The only place I could find was a Travelodge on 72nd that would take cash (plus a $20 deposit because it *was* cash...) It didn't help that I arrived during the NCAA tourney either. ::eyeroll:: Anyhoo, I did manage to snoop around Best Buy and a few other places so I can get a newer computer. Mine are just getting old and I have way too much "fun stuff" on them to risk them being lost or something. At least I didn't have to spend the night cruising the Evil Empire's Super Store...
