It was *nice* out for a change. Actually "kinda, sorta" warm. So what did I do? (After chores, that is -- which were pretty skimped on) I went to the movies. Ostensibly to see '10,000 BC' -- which btw is a total waste -- it should have gone straight to SciFi channel. Almost any jr. high kid could have written *that* well, and... just never mind. I was bored almost immediately and spent most of my time deconstructing it. Though there were about 30 people or so who turned up to see it, which made me happy for the theatre. Scarily, there was one dad who told his kids they were going to see "College Road Trip" because it was rated "G". ::facepalm::
So why did I *really* go? The trailers, of course. And if you don't know which trailer I wanted to see, then you are sadly out of touch with me and my obsessions. [For a brief rundown: "Prince Caspian" looks to be ok; "Hitchcock" and "Superhero" will probably do good because a lot of people will actually *like* that sort of nonsense. The first one was a new film by M. Night Shamaylan (sic) which looked kinda ok even though I'm not that big of a fan of his.]
But the last one... ah yes, *that* was the one worth waiting for. "TDK", if you haven't guessed by now. And it really does need to be seen on the silver screen in order to appreciate it. Much as my heart broke to see it, it was so worth it. (The computer screen does not do it justice.) I basically paid $$ to see a trailer. ::looks around guiltily:: paid $$ 2x actually, 'cause I just *had* to see it again. Second time I walked out after the trailer, before the movie came on, and the ticket people were all concerned about me walking out so soon and I simply told them everything was cool, I had only wanted to see the trailer again. I also said that only one of the trailers looked as if the movie was going to be any good. They probably think I'm psychotic (they'd be right) but mostly harmless. Don't interfere with the crazy lady, y'know.
Afterward, I went to visit my auntie and then came home. Time for me to go to sleep so I can do it all over again tomorrow.
