Further Weirdness of the Day
Sep. 18th, 2007 03:50 pmSo, I had to go in and have my eyes dilated today because I had not planned for it at my regular eye exam. Good news on that front, btw. The weirdness comes in when the dr. picked up my glasses to hand them back to me, and they fell apart. I mean, they *literally* fell apart. Luckily the super-teeny-tiny screw did not fall on the floor but rather on the counter so it showed up nicely. And I am now waiting on my brand-new $360 glasses. I was going to try and keep these going for a little while longer since my eyes had changed some but not radically enough to require a change, though new glasses were highly recommended. My doc knows I have no insurance so he said that these old one would be ok for another year. But when they fell apart? Yeah, new glasses suddenly went from "maybe next year" to "right now." At least I have enough saved up for them. (Well, it was actually meant for something else but oh well.) And I have to admit that these were really good, I've had them for at least 5 years so I can't complain about quality.
And oh wow, does it ever look black and stormy to the north! Yikes!! Time to power down; back later on sibs.
