Checking In
Nov. 4th, 2004 09:36 pmNot much to tell. Jess, Linda and I cleared some of the things out, so at least people will be able to get in the house now. The oxygen people picked up their equipment about 1:30 pm, so that is one less thing to worry about.
Talked to Rev. Crawford about Mom; called Aunt Arlene. Van called and will be a pallbearer. Carol and Paul started driving from Chicago today; Paul Jr. may be able to come if his work permits. Probably will be about 50 people here (more or less). Mom didn't get out much these last few days; most of her social life was limited to the phone. She just didn't get much company, period.
I don't know what I'll do later on. The holidays are going to be a real pain. Of course, a lot depends on how quickly things are settled. It will be so terribly lonely w/o Mom. Especially since these last years we never got out then because so many people have colds or flu or that perennial favorite, the "creeping crud."
Linda said Vicki L. stopped by when I was at the Black Dog talking to Rev. Crawford and LeeAnn just pitched a fit. So Vicki will be back sometime tomorrow.
Jesse is gone doing stuff in Hastings so he'll be back here tomorrow.
