Still Hot....

Yes it's still hot. I ended up doing a lot of running around today, meh! :p

So, I went to buy one of those tower fans because I don't like AC (plus I can't afford it) and the regular box fans just don't quite cut it anymore.

I spent more than I had planned because it was supposed to be a good one -- plus I bought it at a local store that *always* back their products. After more errands, I got home and unpacked it -- only to discover that there were no screws to fasten the pedestal with! =( So after a round of panic, looking desperately for the damned screws. No luck. To top things off, I couldn't find the blasted receipt! So I called the store, explained what happened and they basically told me to bring it back tomorrow am and they would either refund the money, replace the fan altogether with a different one or help me find the proper screws to fasten it with (and probably test it out in the store). I sure do wish I had it now though, Yikes! I feel like I'm melting! (Actually they wanted to know if I was going to bring it back today but 4pm in the afternoon, no a/c in the Blazer and temps pushing 100 -- nope. So they were cool with that, and tomorrow will be soon enough.) I feel like I sunburned my face as well -- the curse of being fair-skinned.

Donna called tonight but her cell phone was breaking up so bad I couldn't hear her; way too much static (or whatever) on the line. Plus I think my phone was trying to charge right then... I *wish* she'd get a computer! It wouldn't cost me anything that way and it would be a damned sight easier to talk. Oh well...

Time for me to go and sleep, or try to. Niters all!

Get a few bags of ice. Fill your tub halfway with water, put the ice in, and take a dip.
