So, as many of you here know by now, most of this "notebook" is going to be dealing with LotR-related things, such as the actors and their movies. More on that later. For now, all you need to know is that I have been watching "Legend of the Seeker", guest starring Craig Parker on Saturday afternoons.

I haven't been writing about this much at the "other place" because I know most of my other sibs have minimal interest at best in this (SPN seems to have taken up their interests, that and reality tv shows) and I like a place where I can just go and squee and fangirl w/o feeling "weird". It's not that I grudge them their interests, it's just that I haven't followed along this time and it makes it hard, y'know? But anyway...

The last Season 1 ep -related stuff under here, so read on *only* if you don't mind being spoiled.

Cut For *Spoilers*!

So, it was the last ep, and CP had lots of good screen time. Om nom nom. He is such a wonderful baddie! Anyhoo, through one of those long involved twists, which I will be happy to discuss with you if you ask, or even if you don't ask, lol -- in an au twist, Darken Rahl marries Kahlan Amnell (god I hate some of these names, mostly because I have known wretched little bratty girls named Kaylinnn or some such name irl) and they end up having a kid, a boy, who is a male Confessor and even more evil and awful than his father, Rahl. How do we know this? Besides the fact that it is mentioned several times: Kahlan tells Rahl that he knows that a male Confessor will become totally evil and corrupt -- the boy is blond, and after he is grown, he is bald and ugly.

Anyway... in the dream Rahl is busy trying to sire the perfect child -- I won't say son because I had the feeling he would have been just as happy with a daughter -- and the young girls were all desparate to get away from him, even though they were being treated quite well. Interestingly, they were getting the best of everything as long as they were expecting, he seemed to be very concerned with keeping them healthy so they would have a healthy child.

But there was an underground movement led by "persons unknown" (but probably the Seeker anyway, and maybe the Confessor) who kept stealing the babies away at birth; the girls were to say that they had died at or shortly after birth. So naturally he's busy trying to find out what is happening while the kids are being raised elsewhere so they will not be corrupted by his influence.

I only remember two babies in particular, and Rahl was very close to finding out what was going on when I woke up, darn.
