Saturday Afternoon
Oct. 16th, 2004 01:57 pm... and I have discovered that my feet were designed for orphan kittens to roost on. Yes I know how that reads and yes I meant to write it that way. LeeAnn is barking her lungs loose with frustration at the "mice". I *know* she thinks of them as mice and will until they get big enough to appear more cat-sized. LeeAnn is an excellent mouser, even though she's a dog, and the kittens are the just the size of mice and make funny, squeaky miaows that (to her) are mouse sounds. So she tries to peer over the board that separates the kitchen (where the kittens are playing after being fed by eye-dropper) from the rest of the house. The kittens are finally quiet and napping, so of course I have to pee *right now*. Happens every time, wouldn't you know? :p Or it will happen after one of the big cats crawl on my lap and begin to doze off, purring contentedly... :/
Well, things are looking up marginally better than they were last night but I am still really exhausted from it all. Plus Donna H. called at 2:22 am, waking me up and scaring me half to death. I was wide awake then, but she apologised and promised to call me back at a more normal time. I don't know if I was polite or not; in fact I hardly remember what I *did* say. I finally dozed off about daybreak, and since I seldom if ever sleep past daybreak... you get the picture. I'll probably post more later.
