It is stormy out. The day was icky and humid w/some high winds--prime tornado weather. So far so good--it seems that most of the storms are going around but that could change.

Sadly, the local puppy team lost *the* game tonight; by one goal, in OT no less. I was really hoping I would be able to get to at least one game this season but it just didn't happen. I didn't dare risk going today because of the weather (getting caught in a storm on I80 is *not* a Good Thing) and I was hoping they would win so I could make the next one. But now there is nothing until next fall.

Meantime, there is a storm rolling in (again!) so I will be back sometime tomorrow.

I80? I grew up about 30 miles north of it.

Yeah, I was really concerned with my mom flying out of Des Moines today, but it was actually in Denver that she had a problem.

Really? I'm to the south of it and since I80 follows the Platte, well... I was just not feeling up to dealing with late-night storms. It seems to me that storms (tornadoes) seem to be attracted to water. I've always wondered if there were any official studies done on the phenonmenon.
