Kittens, Redux
May. 1st, 2007 10:11 amIf you're interested in cats & cat behavior, read under the cut.
Grandma Kitty had her babies at some point last night/early morning--in my bedroom, of course. I think there are 4 or 5, not sure cause all I can see is a heap of gray fur that wiggles *a lot*. So, more babies to try and care for.
Yesterday's kittens are ok but their mama is not happy about being locked in the bathroom. *sigh* I couldn't leave them on the porch though and she keep trying to move them *out* of the bathroom. I'm not sure if I should let her go ahead and move them or not because of the little dog.
Either way, I am off to try and do some job hunting so hopefully things will work out kitten-wise.
EDIT: Perhaps Daughter-Mama wanted Grandma Kitty to take care of one of them, because one of the kittens kept crawling out on the bathroom floor and Daughter-Mama kept trying to move it. Finally I opened the door to see what would happen. Grandma and Daughter both looked at it, and this time Grandma picked it up and carried it to *her* nest! O-kay... if that's what they want, I'm not going to argue. I now have two sets of kittens in my bedroom, oh yay. This is going to create a lot of chaos with LeeAnn and Lucky, since they are the ones who sleep with me. :-/
EDIT 2: It looks as if Grandma is going to try and raise both litters because I saw her move one more kitten to her nest. Interesting. Daughter-Mama seems much calmer now and is finally eating some dry food.
