Yes indeed, Mom does have pneumonia after all. Lovely! Just what I wanted to hear! It only took them a week to come to this decision. :p It seems this a particularly nasty strain that is resistant to most antibiotics, however the antibiotic(s) she is getting in her IV does get rid of it. It's going to take some time though. Time. How short it is, how little there is, and with so very much to be done.:/

Also got hassled by my insurance company this morning. My god, how I hate that smarmy bastard! I yelled right back at him and refused to let him blame me for things. Is it my fault that I got a major pay cut? And that Diane S. refuses to pay me the $300 that she owes, forcing me to take her to court *again*? I think not. Yet I still have to find a way to scrounge up some money and soon. If I could only get enough ahead so I wasn't being harrassed by him all the time! I would change companies in an instant but I no sooner get partially caught up w/some things when two or three more flare up as well. And I am *positive* he will say nothing but bad about me to any other companies I might go to, so I am well and truly caught between a rock and a hard place. I suppose I will have to get a professional to handle things for me, I simply cannot begin to do all of this on my own--not when I am needed by Mom so much, and so many demands on my time w/the hospital and other health-care "officials".

Oh, to have money again! To not always be so damned fucking broke! Or at least to not have a pot to piss in, and let the government take care of me. I admit it, I have no pride left. None at all. Why bother? When I think I can finally raise my head for a moment, sure enough, it's something else--or two, or three...

Lucky you, to read all this rant. Sorry. But that's the way it is, I guess. Look for another update tonight when I get home.
