Today's News and Weather Report

See yesterday's post. No, seriously. The heat is *on*; it feels like it's well over 100 right now, and it's full dark. The predictions for the weather to stay the same is for the next two weeks. Yikes!! =(

And of course, the Missouri River is in full flood mode, effectively shutting down highways etc. in IA. Not so much here, or at least it only affects the eastern border of NE, but still bad enough.

The a/c is running and my little dog is stretched out in front of it, while the cats are glued to the window sills so they can soak up the heat.::shakes head:: Go figure, eh? Though I actually have to shut the a/c off occasionally since I get too cold if I sit in front of it too long. (Yes, really.) I'm drinking plenty of water and trying to change the animals water at least 3x/day, especially during the hottest part.

The roofers can only work till noon but I'm not surprised. Also, *now* they discover that the west side of the house needs to be majorly redone as well as the other parts. I thought I did, but they say not, and just oh well. ::shrugs:: It's too hot to stress over it, and in any case they know now lol and it will get fixed a bit later, is all.

No other news for now. Time to sleep so I can do a few outside things early in the morning.
