Today's News and Weather Report

There is no other 'real' news other than the cold. The wind chills are already between -20 to -30 below zero (that's in Fahrenheit; in Celsius, that would be -29 to -34. I *think*.) Yeah. And if we are lucky, the air temp *might* get to 0 degree as a *high* (-17 C). Yeah. Really. There are dozens of pre-school/school closings and other postponements are listed on the ticker crawl on tv.

Needless to say, I am not going anywhere that involves going outside today. Instead, I will be inside, camped in front of the computer. As long as the internet connection holds out anyway, lol.

DAY 1: 10 things about you

1. I don't wear any makeup at. all. None. Ever.
2. I prefer to keep my hair short.
3. I have a very small house (ok, it's a shack).
4. I collect all sorts of recipes.
5. I do not drink 'diet' drinks.
6. I miss eating my godmother's kolaches and runzas.
7. I never wanted to go on to college/uni.
8. I knew how to break a horse to drive (I still do,but it's been *ages*.)
9. I have over 200 books on my "to read shelf" (ok, make that "to read *bookcase*").
10. I learned how to bake *real* bread -- not bread machine bread, not frozen bread -- from my grandma and my mom.
