My *Newest* Fic Idea

As my XF sibs and hockey know all too well, I never seem to stop thinking of ideas for fic, which is not always a good thing. The slimmest of threads can start me thinking, so here we go, though this is more thought out than most.

This fic idea (bunny?) is centered around Patrick Verona from "10 Things I Hate About You" and is part of my reply to a Brokie sibs lj post:

I know in the movie he said: (1) that he lived in Australia until he was 10, with his mum and that (2) he spent the previous year taking care of his grandfather in Milwaukee. [I *hope* I remembered that correctly anyway.] But it always left me wondering where his dad was -- or maybe if his dad was US military who married his mum and they later divorced w/her having custody -- but then how/why did Patrick end up in the SeaTac area 10 years later? Another custody battle? Or something else? Maybe to establish dual citizenship for some reason? I'm also curious to know if he lived in an actual trailer park (Joey's insult) and the "7-11 on Broadway" (remark by Kat)or if it was an "in" reference to a different neighborhood altogether

Yes, I plan to rewatch the movie sometime tomorrow -- it's too late for me to even think about watching it right now. If any of my Heath/Aussie/Brokie sibs can provide any insight to the above comments regarding dual citizenship, etc.I would greatly appreciate it. Or if there any links where he talks specifically about Patrick's background... Thanks everyone, and niters!
