Snow Tonight

It started getting nasty this morning. I went to get mail and groceries and had to scrape ice from the windows, etc. I couldn't quite tell how icy the road was though, so when I started down the street I hit the brakes. Lucky nothing was coming because I did some serious swerving. Result: After morning errands, I stayed inside. I do occassionally have glimmers of intelligence. We had freezing rain/sleet off and on all day, as predicted. *sigh* And last Tuesday was so darned nice, too. From the looks of things, it won't start to get nice before Thursday or Friday. Meh.

Got the cable bill today. Thanks to some nice screwed up direct deposits that never made it, I now have a truly horrendous bill to pay. This time, I am paying the sucker by money order since I am still not sure if the glitch that caused the trouble in the first place has been fixed. The bank says it has; we'll see. I need to look into internet banking a little more seriously even though I'm not sure I feel very confident with it. Weirdly, none of my other bills had this problem, so I am going to be dropping the tv part as soon as I know things have been straightened out. Right now I am afraid if I ask them to remove the tv, I'll lose internet access as well and I simply *must* have internet.

We have snow now, less than an inch on the ground but it's got to be slick underneath. Yuck. I'm not even sure if I'll bother to venture out tomorrow. I have enough food, any mail can wait a day or two and all of my bills are caught up for now, so... We'll see what happens.
