1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate OR Apple Cider?
It depends on what I have on hand at the time--hopefully all three. Wassail is pretty cool too.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree?
The elves do the wrapping and he delivers them under the tree.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
No lights period because my electric bill is high enough.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No, because the furkids go nuts trying to get at it.
5. When do you put your decorations up?
A few at a time, starting the day after Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
I don't have one because I love trying new recipes over the holidays. But if I had to say one, it would be homemade bread (the *real* kind, not the stuff from a bread machine).
7. Favorite Holiday memory/tradition as a child:
Baking cookies--YUM!!! :)
8. When did you find out the truth about Santa?
I still believe in Santa because once you stop believeing in him, he won't bring you any more presents. And everyone *knows* that Santa brings the coolest presents of all. :D
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Sometimes.
10. How do you decorate your christmas tree?
Very carefully. The furkids are much too interested in the decorations for me to put a lot on, so I try and limit them to wooden or heavy plastic ones.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Right now I'd love some. Of course that now means we will be the next to get nailed by a blizzard.
12. Can you ice skate?
Yes, at least I pretend that I can. I'm not good but I try.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I don't think I can choose one in particular. They've all been special.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Furkids, friends and family.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Heh, I'd have to say they're all my favorite.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Probably the food.
17. Christmas tree. Real or fake?
Fake. Actually I don't have one big tree but I have several small ones about 4" high that I place around the house.
18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving?
*snerk* You guess which one. XD
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
I'm cheating here by listing two of my all-time favorite cds: The Bells of Dublin by The Chieftains and On Yoolis Night by Anonymous 4. The first one is more modern, w/guests Elvis Costello and Jackson Browne. The second is medieval carols and motets, and it is exquisite.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum?
YUMMY! I prefer the classic peppermint ones so if the furkids manage to snag one, it won't hurt them. As long as the cellophane is off....
21. What is your favorite Christmas movie?
"Scrooge" (1951) with Alastair Sim.
