Today's News and Weather Report

la_samtyrToday was hot and windy. Lots of dust blowing, which is not a good sign.
I also went on a prayer walk today, and so many people asked if I was alright, it was rather embarrassing. :/ I was wearing a hat (bad hair day) and a heavier-than-expected jacket, so my face must have been really red. Ah well.
I also went to see "Infinity Wars". I really need to stop going to long movies that are over 2 hrs. About half-way through I was in desperate need of a bathroom break but didn't want to miss out. Otoh, I also drank a lot of water during the prayer walk so that might have played a role too. Anyway, my thoughts on the movie are under the cut.
The theatre was pretty full, though I did not bother with the 3D version.
SPOILERS AHEAD.
The movie was... ok. Not really good and definitely not great but ok.
It needed to be shorter -- like 20 - 30 minutes shorter.
I admit to being a Loki fangirl, so killing Loki at the beginning? Not the way for me to buy into it.
Too many fight scenes. Seriously, fewer fight scenes are a plus.
The plot was a mess. The good bits were hidden by either silliness or a fight scene.
Oh great, we have a sequel. Wtf-ever.
I won't bother seeing it again. Which is a shame because some of the films in MCU, I am happy to see multiple times. But not this one. It was just something of a waste for me and for any other MCU-Disney films, I'm going to be sure to be well and thoroughly spoiled before even thinking about seeing it.
