1. What did you do in 2017 that you'd never done before?
Traveled to a state I'd never been to.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
For the most part, I guess.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Some of my cousin's kids did. Other than that. no.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
One of my first cousins. :'(

5. What countries did you visit?
None. Maybe next year...

6. What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017?
Money.

7. What date from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The solar eclipse, which took place literally in my back yard! Right over my house! I tell ya, it doesn't get much cooler than that! :D

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Selling off some things that were in storage.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not exercising more regularly.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really.

11. What were the best things you bought?
Books! ;)

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Can't think of anyone offhand.

13. Whose behaviour appalled you?
Politicians.

14. Where did most of your money go?
That's easy -- health insurance. Seriously, that alone ate up 66% of my budget.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Traveling. I love it!

16. What song will always remind you of 2017?
Arrane Ghelby. I'll post a vid later.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Same.
ii. thinner or fatter? Actually, just a bit thinner.
iii. richer or poorer? No change.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Exercising.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Worrying.

20. How did you spend Christmas and/or New Year's?
Spent this Christmas with the librarian and her family.

21. Did you fall in love in 2017?
No.

22. How many one-night stands?
I hate this question, so it gets a strike-through.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
I don't watch tv anymore.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Politicians.

25. What was the best book you read?
The Other Slavery:The Uncovered Story of Indian Enslavement in America by Andrés Reséndez. Heartbreaking but I think it's a must read.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Mostly re-discovering music I'd forgotten about.

27. What did you want and get?
Being able to cover bills.

28. What did you want and not get?
A new cook stove.

29. What was your favourite film of this year?
I can't think of any offhand, sorry.

30. What did you do on your birthday?
Went to a 'Hobbit' marathon the local museum held -- plus food! :)

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not being so freakin' broke!

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2017?
Blue jeans, tshirts/sweatshirts and sneakers.

33. What kept you sane?
My furkids and my friends online. *hugs*

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
One?! How can I pick *one* when I've been watching a train wreck on a daily basis?? Sheesh!

36. Who did you miss?
Not visiting my cousin Carol and her family.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
No comment. That is just too much like playing favorites; I had to deal with being a "not-favorite" all through school, so I won't do it here either.

You only regret the things you don't do.
