Still here, still hurtin'. Go me.

Underneath is a cut about my opinion of teachers/schools. I was going to to comment in a friend's lj about the latest school shootings, then decided this needed to go under a cut in mine. So fair warning, rant ahead.

I never did care much for teachers. Or school either. I was abused by one third grade. Well, actually the woman was batshit crazy and held the entire class 'hostage' to her weird notions and beliefs; primarily that the kids who had teachers or professional people for parents were angels who could (and did) get by with everything. And I do mean *everything.* Why she was never fired I have no clue but the old bitch had fucking *tenure* and apparetnly couldn't be fired. Either that or she was up for retirement the next year and THEY didn't want her to maybe lose or pension. (This was in the bad ol' days, when kids were considered chattel by the school. But I digress. And I apologise for turing this post into a personal rant. :(
