LOL Oh yes! And you thought twice about any pic you took because you had only 24 or 36 photos on your roll (is that even the correct term? I have no idea how the things are called in English), and it took over a week to get the prints!
I admit I tend to take photos more often now because I can use my phone. I often carried a point-and-shoot digital with me, but I was like a pack mule carrying so many electronic gizmos. Having most things on my phone has really simplified my life.
Oh, yes. And it took ages to actually see your holiday pictures, because if you'd shot 30 of the 36 pics on the film, you wouldn't just waste the remaining 6 on whatever; no, you'd wait for the next big occasion or even the next holiday...! (Not because the film rolls were that expensive, but getting them developed was!)
My one exception was when I was in South Africa for the first time. I went through ten rolls of film in two weeks! After that I decided that it made sense to go digital. And while I'm often enough a bit of a technophobe, I have to say that the possibilities of digital photography are fantastic and I wouldn't want to go back! It was a different world!
