I love this film and I think it's why I love movies in general so much. It captures a time and a place that is gone forever -- yet it can be revisited again and again. But to be honest, when I watch it, it breaks my heart just a little bit. To be that young again and so hopeful and optimistic; anyone born after 1970 can never really understand what life was like then. It was hardly perfect by any means but... at the same time, I think it was probably the last I ever felt *whole*.
