Today's News and Weather Report

Today was a simply gorgeous day outside -- it was in the 60's -- warm and sunny and just a hint of a breeze. ::dreamy sigh::

I had planned for an early start but LeeAnn had a bad tummy so I waited to see how she felt before I left.

I did a few errands in Hastings and stopped @ the Y, where I ran into my old 4th grade teacher. I haven't seen her in ages, so we talked for a good long time. When she taught, she (and her family) lived across the street from my parents and I, and I was best friends with her kids as well. (She had five but the older two were in high school and the rest were close to my age.)

After that I grabbed some groceries, came back home and picked up the mail (phone bill, yay.)

Sadly though, one of the outdoor-indoor cats is missing. Hermione (a dilute tortie) snuck out Sunday night and I didn't notice when she did it either. Usually she's in-and-out all day but she didn't show up at all yesterday or today. I hope she found another home rather than getting hit by a car or something. (I had wanted to make her an indoor-only cat but I was waiting for my paycheck so I could get her shots and have her fixed. :( So I guess I will continue to hope for the best and see if she does come back but it's not looking too good right now.
