Deleted Scene from DOS

It's no secret that I adore deleted scenes and I am firmly convinced that over 50% of the time, they add to a film rather than detract. Here is just one of many examples I could name:

WHYYYYY??? WHYYYYYYY????(Damn you PJ! That *should* have been filmed and left in! Grrrrr!

So could I! And really, those few seconds would have added so much overall -- I mean, I'm sure that the loss of 30-odd seconds wouldn't have mattered in so many different scenes.

It would have also explained just how Thranduil was able to arrive so quickly to help out the people of Laketown despite the fact that they went to the mountains...

I agree. Maybe it will be in the extended version, although we never got to see the library or aviary in Imladris in the first one.

Well we can only hope. And like you, I really wanted to see the library and the aviary in Imladris. Maybe they're saving that for one of the anniversary EE editions?
