I haven't read very many of these books. What's surprising is that nearly all of them on the list that I HAVE read, I had to read in high school literature class!

First they ban them, then they're required reading.

I know -- I think I read a lot of these in hs lit. There was no thought of banning them back then. And what I didn't read in hs, I read later on when I was @ college.
