Today's News and Weather Report

This has been a nice week so far, the high heat and humidity finally broke and it's been almost cool. The animals are feeling better about it too, even though I put out lots of fresh water and tried to make as much shade for them as possible.

I noticed LeeAnn was limping Monday; she had her left front paw tucked up tight against her. So I called the vet and got an appointment for today. Yesterday LeeAnn and I had a nice long cuddle and afterwards, she stopped limping and put her foot down. I decided to keep the appointment anyway, just in case there was some sort of ligament or tendon damage. But the vet found nothing wrong either so I don't know what was wrong exactly. He (vet) thought she might have jammed a toenail so he clipped her nails. He thinks she still looks pretty good for her age and health issues, which was a relief to hear.

So after leaving the vet, we had a nice treat of vanilla ice cream and came home.

Other than that, the week has been pretty quiet. ::crosses fingers::

I glad there was nothing badly wrong with LeeAnn. I gave ice crea to my dog the other day as a treat - she was my best friend for at least the next hour lol

I was very relieved, I can tell you. And since we were in the car, she got to have her ice cream all to herself -- no sharing. Bliss! [g]

I was in Omaha this week so I know how unseasonable cool it was on Monday. Perhaps LeeAnn just had cold toes which the cuddling cured? Regardless, I'm glad she was fine.

LeeAnn is actually more comfortable when the weather is cool because she has such a heavy coat, so I'm not sure what was wrong. Maybe she just needed an extra cuddle.
