Nothing, Again

Another day gone and still nothing accomplished. Went to Hastings just to get out and around a little bit. Had to deplete my savings (again) because the paycheck won't be here until *next* fucking week! Bastards! I really am going to have to do more of nothing in the evenings, cause no matter what I'm doing or what I'm watching, someone shows up and I miss most of the show. It's the same reason I dropped HBO and Cinemax *years* ago, back when Mom had the cable. One night I had planned to watch a movie all the way through for once (I'd seen the beginning, middle bits and end serveral times, just not as a whole). So I was all curled up, ready for the movie to start and right on cue, there's someone banging at the door. So naturally I had to answer (like I ever would have heard the end of it from Mom if I hadn't) and spent the next half-hour or so dealing w/some stupid shit that wasn't even that important, it could have been dealt with *any time*. So I finally get rid of them and go back in--and I was totally out of the mood by then to watch it. Of course Mom bitched, said that she never got to see a movie all the way through either. I told her that wasn't the point, if I was paying for the movies channels, then I damn well ought to be able to sit down and be able to watch a movie all the way through for once, w/o being interrupted. So after yipping a little more, I went ahead and cancelled them, keeping only the basic. I've basically just had videos and dvds since then. It is cheaper in the long run, I guess. I can't say that I've missed out on that much and since they bring things out on dvd almost as fast as a season is over, it doesn't really matter.
