About Writing
Apr. 4th, 2014 03:30 pmBecause all of the cool kids are doing it ;)
Ask me a question about one of my fics or series. It can be absolutely anything in any project and I will tell you the honest-to-goodness answer (even on the progress/plans for next chapters of current series).
Don’t hold back. Whatever you ask, I’ll answer as truthfully and as completely as possible. You can also ask about my writing as a whole, if you like.

Date: 2014-04-05 05:55 am (UTC)And since I am a Very Special Snowflake, it doesn't take much to put me off under the best of circumstances; six weeks was more than enough to make me lose a lot of heart on doing anything. Other than the lotr_sesa exchange (and luckily I had sent myself notes on that so I was able to write it on my laptop), I have only managed a little over 500 words for the Fandom Snowflake in January (again on my laptop.)
It's not that I don't have ideas and plots; I've opened up various docs of things I have in progress and I think "yes, this would work", "that needs done" -- and then I feel all "meh" and close the doc without doing anything.

Date: 2014-04-05 01:37 pm (UTC)I had intended to use Dropbox, which would automatically save what I was working on. But I read the TOA and I had a funny feeling about their view(s) of *fic*, so I decided to leave it alone.
Usually I send the doc to myself and cc it to another e-addy as well. Well, I try to anyway.

I use Dropbox, but that's like the third and last thing I use.

Date: 2014-04-05 03:48 pm (UTC)Well, I hope it fades; all writers get that sometimes, but usually there is something that will start the urge again.
